So after putting in all that work and earning and saving enough Baitcoins to unlock one of the DLC packs, you're basically saying there's no point, because at that point you'll probably be a high enough level to have unlocked the equivalent gear in the shop to buy with credits, and in using the DLC gear you're further punished by having more baitcoins taken off you to repair gear you have earned through playing the game. It would take about 100 - 150 uniques to earn enough baitcoins to unlock one of the DLC packs with baitcoins. And that in getting the DLC you have to farm uniques just to repair the DLC gear, so it's not worth using the DLC gear, rendering it utterly useless. First have to grind baitcoins to buy them, and second grind some more baitcoins to repair them. ( The 2 paid DLC's ).Īs for the in-game DLC's it gives the wrong impression by clever wording that you "get" all DLC's and then players get's lured in by that and buy the game only to be greeted by 2 nasty systems. They are being disadvantaged for supporting the devs. You are forgetting the people who paid real money for it. The disadvantage is you will have to pay repairs to that gear with baitcoins. If you do decide to get this stronger gear then you will gain plenty of advantages plus a disadvantage.
You can get all the gear with normal cash.īuying the dlc's with baitcoins, gives you the opportunity of getting stronger gear earlier but it's not vital. And if that wasn't bad enough, if you dare to use any DLC gear you will have to grind Unique fish again as you can only repair them with baitcoins and not credits. You will spend a hell of a long time grinding Unique fish to buy all the DLC gear.
